The act of giving transcends simple charity or generosity—it is an art that requires understanding, intention, and skill. Mastery in giving is about more than the act itself; it encompasses a thoughtful approach to how, when, and why we share our time, resources, and compassion with others. Those who achieve mastery in giving understand that true generosity is not measured by the size of the gift, but by the impact it has and the spirit in which it is offered. This introduction explores what it means to give with purpose, how to cultivate this important life skill, and the profound effects it can have on both the giver and the receiver.

The intent of the O.U.R. Foundation is to encourage giving to the often self—inflicted wounds of the most broken among us. Understanding that the broader war we must ferociously fight is against poor public polices and discriminatory private practices. The O.U.R. Foundation ambition is the desire to climb higher and excel further and never take our eyes off the prize. My appeal is that all who are committed to keeping our communities uplifted, and shining with special emphasis on identifying, nurturing and educating generations of leaders contribute/investment that necessitates intentionality, access to resources and a heart for people.
